A low is moving away, and a high is slowly coming towards us.

There are a few things to stop it turning dry though. A cold pool of air will linger over the southeast of the country, and weak cold fronts will pass to our south.

Snow showers will persist for the first half of the week, mainly above about 1500 metres. The high moves over us on Friday, and turns it dry.

How much...

Monday to Wednesday: about 5 cm.
