The last cold front in this series moves through today. Snow falls above 1600 metres this morning, lowering to 1400 metres during the afternoon. It turns dry overnight.

A high will pass over tomorrow and on Wednesday with cold air and sunshine.

The next cold front moves through alpine areas on Friday. This is connected to a deep low pressure system that passes over southern Tasmania on the weekend, bringing us front after front after front - well into next week. The air is cold from Friday night.

How much...

2 to 5 cm today.
