There are further cold fronts to come, but they are not as strong, thanks to a high ridging in from the west. The heavy snow was only with the strong front earlier today, but light snow should persist through the weekend, and into Monday morning....

Please be advised that Falls Creek village is now in ski-in/ski-out mode. Please remove all remaining rubber-tyred vehicles from the village as soon as practicable. Conditions are currently favourable to remove vehicles (creates little damage to the snow pack and traction is reasonable) however, this may not be the case later......

A high pressure system is trying to make it dry, while an east coast low is pushing huge amounts of moisture into southeastern NSW. NSW resorts have seen the most snow, even as the freeze level rose to about 1800 metres yesterday....
