It is mostly dry until Thursday.

A weak cold front will clip eastern Victoria early Wednesday, and only brings a little snow.

A stronger cold front passes through on Thursday. A trough passes through on Friday, linked to a low pressure system tracking south of Tasmania.  

It will warm up and we will see rain, but it is followed by snow from Thursday night.

How much snow...

1 to 3 cm Wednesday morning.

15 to 25 cm Thursday night through Friday.

Strong cold fronts should move through on the weekend and early next week, bringing significant snowfalls.
