A high pressure system is taking control of our weather.

It is centred over South Australia, but extends a ridge over us today, making it cold and sunny. A strong cold front is crossing the Bight but will only be able to clip southern Victoria as it passes by tomorrow - we only see the chance of snow showers.

The high will be over us on the weekend, and early next week, while a low pressure system lies well out over the Tasman Sea. This makes it dry.
