Persistent snow affects us until the early hours of Friday morning - and it is very cold.

The second part of a double front is moving through this morning, bringing a very cold airmass to Victoria. The coldest air moves over southern Gippsland and snow should fall to 500 metres on the Strzelecki ranges, and 700 metres for the Great Dividing Range.
Snow showers will affect us on Friday and Saturday, clearing on Sunday as a high pressure system comes over. It is a sunny on for Monday.

How much snow...
10 to 15 cm still to come today (from 6am).
2 to 3 cm Friday into Saturday.

Freeze level: 1200 metres, rising to 1600 metres in the afternoon.

Snow showers, mainly morning.

MONDAY
Dry, plenty of sunshine.

OUTLOOK
The next weather system passes through on Tuesday into Wednesday but is weakened by the high. The next system may begin on Thursday or Friday.
