A cold front will cross southeastern Australia later today / early Friday morning. This will be the first in a series of fronts that will just keep on coming every day or two until the end of next week.

Each front should bring 5 to 10 cm of snow - adding up to 30 to 40 cm over the week.

The fronts from Monday to Wednesday have the potential to spread very cold air over us, with low level snow possible.

So, we can expect: THU = 5-10cm, SAT = 10cm, MON = 5-10cm, TUE/WED = 10cm.

REST OF TODAY:

Dry for most of the day with cloud thickening. Snow late this afternoon and tonight (5-10cm), above 1400 metres. Gusty and strong NW winds.
